On May 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Okay Memiş, Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye, APA reports.
President Aliyev highlighted the significance of Okay Memiş choosing Azerbaijan for his first visit after his appointment and expressed hope for a successful trip.
In turn, Okay Memiş expressed his satisfaction with making his first official visit to brotherly Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed over the deepening brotherly and allied relations between the two countries. It was noted that the sincere relationship between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan contributes significantly to the further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The sides also highlighted the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all areas, including security-related matters.
