Russia has voiced support for the high-level negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, speaking at a press briefing, welcomed the direct dialogue between the two South Caucasus nations, Caliber.Az reports via TASS.
He emphasised that Russia welcomed the fact of direct dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia and had repeatedly stated at various levels its support for the swift signing of a peace agreement.
As part of the ongoing peace process, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are holding a bilateral meeting today, July 10, in Abu Dhabi.
