Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the Western minority is increasingly resorting to brute force and putting the lives of billions of people around the world at risk through reckless actions.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Lavrov made the remarks during the general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
According to the minister, there is a desire in the West to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, while Europe is preparing for war with Russia.
“Every day, they confirm that Europeans must be ready for war by 2030 at the latest,” he said.
Lavrov said that these ambitions, as has happened repeatedly in the past, would ultimately lead those fueling the war themselves into a strategic dead end.
“In this case, if they attack us, as Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, there will be nothing for us to concede to them. He also once said that this would be a completely different war and would be short-lived,” Lavrov said.
