The multinational search and rescue exercise "Anatolian Phoenix – 2025" is ongoing in Konya, Türkiye, with Azerbaijani pilots joining forces from other allied nations in joint operational drills aimed at enhancing interoperability in complex scenarios.
As part of the exercise schedule, participating units were briefed on safety protocols, mission-specific tasks, execution procedures, and the geographic and climatic features of the designated operational area, Caliber.Az reports, citing Defence Ministry.
Aircraft from various allied nations took part in a coordinated "elephant walk" formation, showcasing combined readiness. Following the display, crews conducted inspections of the sectors allocated for upcoming flight operations.
Familiarisation flights were carried out to enable participants to better understand the terrain. These sorties also served to test interoperability between multinational forces and assess the effectiveness of radio communication systems.
