Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov claimed a bronze medal at the Judo Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi.
In the 73kg division, he overcame rivals from Romania, Belgium, and Kosovo, before reaching the semifinals. Despite losing to Masudi Ahmadzod of Tajikistan, Heydarov went on to defeat Irakli Goginashvili of Great Britain in the bronze medal bout.
The medal brings Azerbaijan's tally to four, including two golds by Balabey Aghayev and Konul Aliyeva, and a bronze by Rashad Yelkiyev.
