Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz praised the Israeli military for what he described as major achievements in dismantling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure and missile production capabilities, following a high-level situation assessment held with senior military officials on July 3.
In a statement posted on X, Katz said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had targeted “two threats that endangered Israel more than any others,” referring to Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. He added that Israeli forces also struck military commanders, weapons infrastructure, and critical regime targets in Tehran, Caliber.Az reports.
Katz stated that the IDF's task now is to prepare a blue-and-white enforcement plan and to organise intelligence and operational efforts to ensure the maintenance of the Air Force's air superiority in Tehran's skies and the ability to enforce restrictions on Iran, preventing it from renewing its capabilities.
The strategy will involve close coordination of intelligence and operational efforts.
“The State of Israel is determined to lead an active defense policy against Iran,” Katz wrote. “I trust the IDF to carry out this mission effectively, as it has done thus far.”
