Vugar Suleymanov, chairman of Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) board, discussed cooperation with Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz to combat the mine threat.
Axar.az reports, citing ANAMA, that during the meeting, the ambassador was briefed on the scale of Azerbaijan’s mine problem and the progress of humanitarian mine clearance activities aimed at addressing it.
The sides also exchanged views on possible Israeli support for Azerbaijan’s mine action efforts, prospects for cooperation, the application of advanced technologies and innovative solutions to the mine clearance process, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
