Zelenskyy to skip Ukraine recovery conference in Poland

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko will lead the country's delegation to the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC-2026) in Gdańsk, Poland, indicating that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will not attend the event.

Svyrydenko announced the decision in a post on social media on June 23, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

“I will lead the Ukrainian delegation and generally oversee our work at URC-2026 in Gdańsk. The Ukrainian team at the Conference will include Ukrainian business representatives, heads of state-owned companies, representatives of our communities from across the country and, of course, government officials and members of parliament. There will be numerous events at various levels aimed at strengthening Ukraine, and Poland, and all our partners, and Europe,” she said.

Svyrydenko noted that Kyiv expects the conference to produce concrete outcomes that will strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities and resilience while expanding economic cooperation with international partners.

She also said that several important agreements are expected to be signed during the event, including deals in the energy sector.

The Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled to take place in Gdańsk, will bring together government officials, business leaders and international partners to discuss the country’s reconstruction and long-term development.
