Oil prices surge in global markets

Oil prices rose in global markets on Wednesday.

On the London Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the price of Brent crude increased by $0.52 to reach $62.67 per barrel. Meanwhile, Light crude on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) rose by $0.54, settling at $59.63 per barrel.
