The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) participated in the first International Food Industry Forum and Food Industry Exhibition held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev addressed the plenary session, while an agency representative spoke at a panel session on the investment potential of the food industry and new production technologies.

The plenary session highlighted the importance of the forum in developing food processing, expanding exports, strengthening food security, and promoting international cooperation.

The AZPROMO delegation emphasized that the food industry is one of Azerbaijan’s priority areas for diversifying the non-oil and gas sector. They noted that the country’s agricultural raw material base, transport infrastructure, industrial zones, and agroparks create new opportunities for cooperation in this field.

The delegation also provided information on the investment potential of Azerbaijan’s food industry, the use of new production technologies, and export opportunities.

The discussions focused on prospects for partnership between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan in the processing of agricultural products, the use of production technologies, and mutual supply opportunities.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Azerbaijan Food and Beverage Industrialists Association (AFBIA) signed two cooperation documents with the State Unitary Enterprise “Khurokvori” and “Kishvari Sabz” LLC under Tajikistan’s Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.

The AZPROMO delegation also toured the exhibition held as part of the forum.
