Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made the remarks during his address to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Speaking about the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, Pezeshkian stressed that the Iranian people had been the target.
“We have only defended ourselves. Our innocent people have been the targets of the unjust attacks imposed on our country. We did not attack any people; rather, we struck the areas from which our country was attacked.”
