Armenian prosecutor seeks confiscation of property linked to ex-president's ally

In Armenia, the prosecutor’s office has requested the confiscation of property belonging to Vahram Baghdasaryan, former head of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary faction and a close associate of ex-President Serzh Sargsyan.

The move aims to transfer assets valued at approximately AMD 390 million ($1 million) and an additional AMD 460 million ($1.2 million) to the state, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the list of assets targeted for confiscation includes:

  • 13 real estate properties across Armenia, including an apartment and a mansion in central Yerevan

  • 3 vehicles

  • Stakes in 2 legal entities

  • Cash amounting to AMD 460 million
