The Israeli Embassy has donated innovative OrCam MyEye devices to 4 Azerbaijani citizens who have lost their sight or have low vision, APA reports.
The embassy held an event titled “Light of Sight: Transforming Lives with Israeli Technology” in this regard.
Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek spoke about Israeli-Azerbaijani relations: “The history of Azerbaijani-Israeli relations is deep. Of course, diplomatic relations are very important, but the bond between peoples is even more important.
The device we are presenting here today is not only a unique device, but also a symbol of light. I believe that this device, which will be presented to 4 people today, will bring about a change in their lives, this device will become a symbol between the two nations," the diplomat noted.
Then, the features of the “OrCam MyEye” device were briefed.
It was noted that the aforementioned devices were developed by visual artificial intelligence experts. This modern tool provides significant support to people with visual impairments in reading text, recognizing faces, and finding their way around the environment.
