The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of air and ground operations across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, striking approximately 180 targets as part of ongoing military activity against armed groups in the enclave.

According to the IDF, the operations were conducted under the direction of Southern Command, with support from Military Intelligence and the Israeli internal security service, Shin Bet. The strikes targeted what the military described as militant infrastructure and combatants affiliated with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Caliber.Az reports.

In the northern part of the Gaza Strip, forces from the IDF’s 162nd Division and the 401st Brigade reportedly located and destroyed tunnel shafts and weapons caches. Troops also identified a group of armed individuals in a structure said to be used by Hamas, prompting an airstrike that resulted in the deaths of those inside, the IDF said.

In a separate incident, the IDF’s Multi-Dimensional Unit detected another group allegedly operating from a building associated with Palestinian Islamic Jihad. An Israeli airstrike was subsequently launched on the site.

The Israeli Air Force said it targeted a range of locations across Gaza, including armed cells, weapons storage facilities, booby-trapped buildings, anti-tank missile launch sites, and tunnel infrastructure.
