Top diplomats of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan hold talks on Caspian security, regional stability

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, to discuss a broad range of bilateral and regional issues.

The discussion underscored the shared commitment of both nations to strengthening their traditionally friendly and fraternal relations, which are deeply rooted in historical and cultural ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

Both ministers expressed confidence in the continued development of bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

A central focus of the call was the importance of maintaining and enhancing political dialogue at the highest levels. The sides emphasized the role of reciprocal state visits, high-level meetings, and regular inter-ministerial consultations in further consolidating Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations.

In addition to bilateral matters, Bayramov and Meredov addressed key issues related to regional security, cooperation within international organizations, and joint interests concerning the Caspian Sea. Both parties exchanged views on a number of bilateral and multilateral topics of mutual interest, reinforcing their shared vision for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
