Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, is scheduled to visit Tehran on Tuesday.
Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Pakistan has played a key mediating role between the United States and Iran this year.
The visit follows talks between Munir and Iranian leaders over the summer, which focused on preventing further escalation, reopening the Strait of Hormuz and bringing the conflict to an end as soon as possible.
