Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for congratulating her on becoming the longest-serving prime minister in the history of the Italian Republic.
Axar.az reports that Meloni stated on her X account:
"Thank you, dear President, Ilham Aliyev, for these words and for the sincere friendship that connects our nations.
She noted that Italy and Azerbaijan have built strong cooperation over the years, based on shared vision and interests.
"I am very proud of the work we have done together to strengthen our strategic partnership, and I am certain that new important opportunities for cooperation lie ahead, in the interests of our nations," the Italian prime minister stated.
