Mexican publication highlights Azerbaijani diaspora

Mexico’s prestigious magazine “Mundo Internacional” has published an article highlighting Azerbaijan’s diaspora policy.

According to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Carmen Mihalasku interviewed Committee Chairman Fuad Muradov.

The interview focused on the large-scale restoration and reconstruction efforts in the Garabagh and East Zangezur economic regions under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that Azerbaijan is a key contributor to ensuring lasting peace, stability, and security in the region.

The Committee chairman spoke about efforts aimed at preserving the national and cultural identity of Azerbaijanis living abroad, uniting them around a common diaspora platform, and conveying Azerbaijan’s realities to the international community. He also highlighted the results achieved by Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in more than 70 countries around the world, noting that the activities of Coordination Councils, Azerbaijani Houses and weekend Azerbaijani schools play an important role in the diaspora building process.

Muradov also shared his views on the prospects for further development of Azerbaijan-Mexico relations.
