Deadly weekend in Germany: Shootings rock Berlin, Hesse

A quiet morning in Berlin, Germany on April 20 was shattered by gunfire as unknown assailants opened fire near the Hilton Hotel in central Berlin, leaving at least one person injured.

The shooting occurred at approximately 4:45 a.m. (GMT+2) near the popular tourist area, prompting a swift response from local authorities, Caliber.Az reports via German media.

Police have launched a manhunt for at least two suspects believed to be involved in the incident. The area surrounding the hotel has been cordoned off as investigations continue. Police have not yet released details about the motive behind the attack or the identity of the injured victim.

Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any information that might aid in the investigation. In a separate incident, another shooting took place over the weekend in the town of Bad Nauheim, in the federal state of Hesse. There, an unidentified gunman opened fire outside a residential building, killing two men.
