As part of preparations for the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum to be held in Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is conducting fire safety drills at places where large numbers of people gather in the capital, including hotels, the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
According to the information, the purpose of the drills, involving the relevant personnel and equipment of the State Fire Protection Service, State Fire Control Service, and Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, is to instill emergency response rules, including fire safety procedures, among staff, as well as to improve the practical skills of personnel in promptly eliminating the consequences of possible emergencies at such facilities.
During the drills, after the “Alarm” signal was given in response to the simulated fire, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly arrived at the scene and began “firefighting” measures. In accordance with the evacuation plan at the hotel where the simulated fire occurred, rescuers evacuated the victims to a safe area, and “first aid was provided” to those who were conditionally injured.
The objectives set during the successfully conducted drills were achieved.
