Russia authorises regular flights to Armenian city of Gyumri

Russian airline Aeroflot and its subsidiary "Rossiya" have received approval for regular flights to the Armenian city of Gyumri.

The permit was issued by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Under the agency’s directive, Rossiya Airlines has been granted approval for daily flights on this route. In addition, Aeroflot has been authorised to operate daily flights from Mineralnye Vody to Gyumri.

Gyumri is Armenia’s second-largest city and lies close to the Turkish border, about 120 kilometres northwest of Yerevan.
