The State Service for Special Communication and Information Security has detected 504 indicators of cyberattacks targeting state institutions from January to June 2025, marking a 1.2 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
According to an analysis by Report, based on official data from the State Service, all 198 cyber threats identified through internal investigations were successfully detected and blocked. Additionally, 306 threats were identified and neutralised following investigations of incidents reported by government agencies, Caliber.Az reports.
In June alone, 51 cyberattacks were recorded, representing a significant 61 per cent decrease compared to June of the previous year.
During the reporting period, security systems blocked 262.92 million malicious network transitions across AzStateNet. The central antivirus system, deployed at end-user devices, prevented 12,366,400 malicious elements, while the Sandbox security system blocked 61,482 electronic documents containing harmful content.
