Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy, met with Adebayo Ogunlesi, Founding Partner, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), on the sidelines of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Global Infrastructure Partners, the country's investment opportunities, and issues related to participation in regional projects.
The discussions also featured an exchange of views on the development of the Middle Corridor, digital transformation, as well as regional opportunities arising from energy projects.
The meeting highlighted the prospects for international investment created by Azerbaijan's favorable geographical location, transport and logistics infrastructure, and growing digital capabilities.
The officials reviewed joint investment opportunities in logistics, traditional and renewable energy, and digital infrastructure, including data centers.
They also exchanged views on expanding long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships in these areas and implementing investment projects of regional significance.
