On September 10, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev arrived in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, for an official visit at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart.

During a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan’s Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, Kamran Aliyev highlighted the strong and expanding Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan partnership, particularly the close cooperation between the two countries’ prosecutorial authorities. He noted the role of political will and mutual trust in strengthening strategic and allied ties, as well as the importance of the 2022 Declaration. He also expressed confidence in the continued development of cooperation between the two countries’ prosecutorial bodies.

The Prosecutor General noted Kazakhstan’s support for the reconstruction of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, citing the Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center in Fuzuli as a symbol of the strong friendship and brotherly ties between the two countries. He also noted that the participation of a Kazakh company in the Fuzuli Central District Hospital project reflects the continued development of bilateral cooperation in the region’s revitalization.

The meeting also covered promising areas of cooperation and priorities for future activities.

On September 11, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev attended the 5th Meeting of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan.

In his address, Kamran Aliyev thanked Prosecutor General Berik Assylov for organizing the event and highlighted the role of prosecutorial authorities in ensuring the rule of law in urban planning and architecture, one of the priorities of Azerbaijan’s state policy.

The Prosecutor General provided insights into Azerbaijan’s efforts to modernize its cities while preserving their architectural heritage, citing the restoration of historical monuments and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories with the participation of Turkic states. He also noted Azerbaijan’s international efforts in urban planning, including its hosting of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum in Baku, and briefed participants on measures taken by prosecutorial authorities in this field.

A bilateral meeting was also held with a delegation led by Muhsin Şentürk, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Türkiye. The meeting focused on the strong brotherly ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, cooperation between the prosecutorial authorities, and joint international initiatives.

The delegation’s visit is ongoing, with meetings with delegations from several countries scheduled as part of the event.
