Starovoit died before his official dismissal - Forbes

Roman Starovoitin, who was dismissed from his post as Minister of Transport on July 7 by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, actually died more than a day earlier, probably on the night of July 5 to 6.

Axar.az informs that Forbes reported this, citing a source close to the investigative authorities.

Earlier, the head of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrei Kartapolov, also confirmed Starovoitin's death to RTVI, saying that this incident occurred "quite a long time ago."

At the same time, the Mash Telegram channel writes that on the morning of July 7, Starovoitin was at work, held a meeting - this coincides with the official announcement of his dismissal, and then said goodbye to everyone and went home.

According to Forbes, by the time the president signed the decree on the minister's dismissal, Starovoitin was already dead.

A source in law enforcement agencies told RBK that the former official was being investigated for his involvement in embezzlement during the construction of fortifications in the Kursk region.

It should be noted that today, former Russian Minister of Transport and former governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit committed suicide.
