The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Dubai, in collaboration with the "Mezo" Digital Art Group and the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA), hosted a live solo exhibition by "Shusha," Azerbaijan's first artificial intelligence (AI) artist in Dubai.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Consuls General of Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan in Dubai, along with diplomats, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora, and representatives of the local community.
Speaking at the event, Azerbaijan's Consul General in Dubai, Javidan Huseynov, and the Consul General of Turkiye, Onur Şaylan, praised the initiative and underscored the importance of regularly organizing such events to promote Azerbaijani culture and art to a global audience.
Nabat Garakhanova, Chairman of the Board of the "Mezo" Digital Art Group, highlighted the use of AI in presenting cultural and artistic works in modern ways, emphasizing the role of innovative technologies in conveying cultural heritage to the world. She explained that the AI artist, named "Shusha," generates digital artworks reflecting Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage. Garakhanova emphasized that the name "Shusha" was deliberately chosen, as the city of Shusha in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region holds a unique and irreplaceable place in Azerbaijani culture and has produced many prominent figures in the country's arts and culture. The AI's creations include digital carpets and other art forms inspired by Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. The project aims to unite history and technology by blending traditional motifs with contemporary digital art techniques. She added that efforts to promote digital innovation in culture and art worldwide will continue.
The ceremony concluded with a demonstration of the AI's process for creating artwork, which was met with great interest by attendees.
