Azerbaijan has announced the squads for its national teams that will compete in two prestigious international beach wrestling tournaments at the Sea Breeze resort in Baku.
The three-day events will bring together more than 200 athletes from 34 countries. A total of 37 Azerbaijani wrestlers will compete under head coach Oyan Nazariani and coach Ibrahim Yusubov, aiming for success on the sand.
Azerbaijan will be represented by 22 wrestlers at the U17 Beach Wrestling World Championships on August 27, with 12 competing in the boys’ event and 10 in the girls’ competition across the 45kg–90kg weight categories.
The fourth stage of the Beach Wrestling World Series, scheduled for August 28–29, will feature 15 Azerbaijani wrestlers, including 11 men and four women competing across the 50kg to +90kg weight categories.
