Official opening ceremony of BTK Railway set for June 2

The official opening ceremony of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars (BTK) railway will be held on June 2.

Axar.az reports that the ceremony will take place in Georgia, with the participation of officials from Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkiye.

The Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway has been operating in test mode since 2017, but its official commissioning will now take place. The total length of the line is 827 kilometers, of which 213 kilometers pass through Georgian territory.
